Valentine’s Day Trail Mix Bar: Class Party Activity!
Are your kids having Valentine’s Day parties in their classes? Mine are! I’m planning this super easy and really fun Valentine’s Day Trail Mix Bar both as an activity for the class and snacks for the kids.
Set up bowls of the ingredients of your choice (I’ll give you some ideas below, but get creative!) and stick a spoon in each one. The kids will have fun creating their own perfect mix at the snack buffet.
Here are the ingredients I used:
- Roasted peanuts
- Goldfish crackers
- Granola
- M&Ms
- Pretzels
- Sunflower seeds
- Conversation hearts
- Craisins
- White chocolate chips
You can use whatever you’d like but I suggest a combination of crunchy, salty, sweet, and chewy. I always have candy, pretzels or crackers, nuts, and dried fruit in my mixes.
Give the kids something to collect and store their mix in. I found these cute take-out containers on clearance a couple of years ago and stashed them away. You can find plain white take-out containers at Target or Walmart. A little plastic baggie would work great also. Maybe jazz them up with some Valentine’s Day stickers or let them kids decorate them before they fill them up with goodies!
Happy Valentine’s Day!
