Christmas Cornflake Wreath Cookies
These Cornflake Wreath Cookies are a family favorite around here and I love to use them for cookie exchanges and cookie trays as well because they keep so nicely and they add a lovely touch to a platter of cookies.
They are also quite affordable to make, and you can double the recipe to stretch them even father.
Even just one of these cookies will add a fun touch of color to your tray of cookies!
Ingredients for making Cornflake Christmas Wreath Cookies
1/3 cup Butter + extra
Holiday Colored Sprinkles
How to make Cornflake Christmas Wreath Cookies
Place the cereal in a large bowl and set aside.
On the stovetop, warm the butter and marshmallows until the marshmallows melt into a cream.
Add in green food coloring until the marshmallows reach the desired shade. Make sure to continuously stir marshmallows while they are on the stove so they do not burn. Remove the marshmallow cream from the stove and pour over the cornflakes.
Mix together until the flakes are coated. Coat your fingers with butter and place small amounts of colored cornflakes on a piece of wax paper and shape into wreaths.
Finally, sprinkle colored sprinkles over the top of the wreaths and let them sit for a while until slightly hardened.
