Virtual Camp Discovery in Fort Lauderdale

It’s a Virtual Camp Discovery and I’m so excited to share with you that recently the Museum of Discovery and Science in Fort Lauderdale launched and created their “virtual learning” videos to allow families to enjoy free daily activities, resources and high-quality educational content and videos to be consumed in the comfort of their own home. Basically, a virtual camp discovery, right from home!!

I’ve included some of our favorite here for you to enjoy, but you can also continue to watch in the coming weeks as videos are currently released on weekdays (Monday through Friday) through MODS’ enews and on social media channels.

FREE Virtual Camp Discovery online classes and STEM learning from MODS

STEM Lessons and FREE Virtual Learning Videos

These fun STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) lessons and virtual video learning opportunities range from reading and hands-on activities to science demonstrations for kids of all ages to enjoy.

You might pair some of these activities with Q&A sessions or encourage your kids to further research the topics that they are learning about. Maybe even encourage them to write an essay about what they learned. And don’t forget about the FREE Stay at Home Printable that I shared last week which can help kids to find purpose and learning in each day as they track their different activities daily.

MODS President & CEO Joseph P. Cox invites us all to enjoy this FREE Virtual Camp Discovery for kids (and hey! it’s a gift to parents as well!) as MODS brings to us some wonderful daily activities, resources, and high-quality educational content to be consumed in the comfort of your own home.

This is such a fun activity for kids, especially if they have some energy to release! Harness the fun and power of balloons to build a simple device that can launch pom poms for hours of fun!

With just a few supplies that you probably have around the house, including a toilet paper roll and marshmallows, this fun activity uses energy and kinetic energy examples to help kids learn and play at the same time!
