Valentine’s Day Heart Shaped Pizza Recipe
Valentine’s Day dinner doesn’t have to be complicated to be romantic!
This fun Valentine’s Day Heart Shaped Pizza recipe is perfect for spoiling your sweetie and showing your love. It is even a great recipe for the kids to enjoy and would be extra fun with sparkling cider and candlelight!
Valentine’s Day Heart Shaped Pizza Recipe
Regardless of the atmosphere, this is a fun one for young and old a like because everyone loves pizza!! (don’t they??)
Valentine’s Day Heart Shaped Pizza Recipe Ingredients
- 1 package of Pillsbury pizza crust
- 1 package of pepperoni
- shredded mozzarella cheese
- pizza sauce (recipe below)
- small and medium size heart cookie cutters
Homemade Pizza Sauce Recipe Ingredients
- 15 oz can of tomato sauce
- 2 tbs. Italian blend Seasonings (oregano, basil, etc) – I used McCormick’s blend
- 1 tsp. minced garlic
- 2 tbs. Grated Parmesan cheese
How to Make Homemade Pizza Sauce
Combine all the ingredients into a small bowl and mix well. Spread onto pizza hearts as instructed below.
How to Mini Heart Shaped Pizzas
1. Preheat the oven according to the package directions.
2. Cut the pizza crust crust using the heart shaped cookie cutters
3. Place the hearts onto a baking sheet spaced a few inches a part from each other.
4. Next cut out the pepperoni using the smaller heart shaped cookie cutters.
5. Spread the homemade pizza sauce evenly onto the pizza hearts. Sprinkle with cheese and then pepperoni.
Bake 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
