DIY Easy Dragonfly Craft Project
DIY Easy Dragonfly Craft Project
Looking for a fun activity for little hands? This DIY Easy Dragonfly craft project is great for little hands and there are so many different ways that you can weave this activity into a learning activity! Count the pom poms, read this along with springtime children’s books or even make these cute dragonflies as part of a fun classroom play or sing along!
As you know, I love fun and easy crafts for kids, and this definitely falls into that category! With just a few supplies needed, this project is so simple…but look how cute, right!?
List of Supplies:
- Popsicle stick
- Pompoms
- Googly eyes
- Pencil
- Scissors
- Craft glue
- Glitter paper
Instructions:
Step ONE
Select 1 popsicle stick, 1 large pompom, 5 or more small pompoms. Apply a drop of glue on any one open side of the popsicle stick.
Step TWO
Place the large pompom on the glued part of the popsicle stick.
Step THREE
Apply another drop of glue near the large pompom and then place a small pompom on it.
Step FOUR
Select a glitter craft paper and trace a dragonfly wing on it. Use scissors to cut out the traced wings.
Step FIVE
Attach the glitter wings on the popsicle stick, right below the small pompom.
Step SIX
Now attach more small pompoms on the popsicle stick. Place a pompom over the wings to cover it.
Step SEVEN
Once you’re done attaching the pompoms on the popsicle stick, stick googly eyes to the large pompom to complete the pompom dragonfly craft.
Kids love making fun things like this and you can bet that this craft will inspire them to fly their dragonflies around! Maybe turn this into a fun game of fly the dragonfly! These would also make neat cupcake toppers or party favors. I think that the key with any craft project for kids is to allow them to be creative and enjoy the process and the finished product. Check out my other favorite crafts for kids like this easy pom pom garland or how about some homemade Hawaiian Punch slime?
I think this craft would be a wonderful activity to pair with books about dragonflies, don’t you?
