I am so excited about my partnership with Netflix and as a member of the Netflix #StreamTeam, I love sharing with you all of the in and outs of Netflix and how we fit it into our busy family lifestyle. We aren’t huge television watchers, but we do love movie time and of course, we are huge Disney fanatics. Netflix actually makes television time less stressful for me as a mom because it is so easy to control not only viewing time, but it also gives me the confidence to let them watch a show without worrying about what else they might see during their viewing time.
Disney on Netflix = Awesome!
Even better! Disney is now on Netflix. When we first got Netflix, there were a few Disney films on Netflix, but the partnership has gotten even stronger. Just this month they added one of our very favorites: ZOOTOPIA! My kids love this movie and we watch it over and over again. Other Disney favorites include Tarzan, The Finest Hours, Holes, Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curst of the Black Pearl, Mulan II and Robin Hood.
If your kiddos are Disney Channel fans, Netflix also carries quite a few of the Disney shows. Our favorite (and honestly, THE most watched Netflix show in our house) is Disney’s Liv and Maddie. My daughter and I love this show, it is so well done, and I love our time together watching it which includes a full break out dance session to the opening song.
Another Netflix Disney show that we love is Disney’s Bunk’d. I love that my kids can earn television time to watch episodes and we can break those down into 1/2 hour sessions, so it’s not like they are camping out in front of the set. These shows are fun, light and entertaining and they usually contain some great life lesson and conversation starters as well!
For us, Netflix is programming that truly works for the entire family! They have great programs for the littles, a huge selection of shows for the older kids and a wonderful selection of programing that the entire family can enjoy together. And hey! Don’t tell the kids, but they also have some pretty sweet movies and documentaries for the parentals to enjoy after the kiddos are tucked into bed. And best of all, it’s all there when you need it, no need to stress about setting the DVR or getting to the television in time.
