Celery Flower Stamp Clutch
Celery Flower Stamp Clutch
Here’s another wonderful little project that you can make for mom for Mother’s Day. This Celery Flower Stamp Clutch would also be great for a special grandma!
I love craft projects like this because they can literally work for any age group from preschoolers all the way up through elementary. Actually, even moms can enjoy the simplicity of creating a celery flower design!
Celery Flower Stamp Clutch
Supplies needed:
- Burlap or canvas tote (found at Hobby Lobby or most craft stores)
- End of celery stalk
- Paper towels
- Knife
- Pink fabric paint
- Green fabric paint
- Paint brush
Directions:
1. Begin by cutting off the end of your celery stalk to reveal your “flower” stamp. Press the piece of celery into a piece of paper towel to help soak up any moisture. This will help your fabric paint adhere better.
2. Once the celery is as dry as possible. Dip it into the pink (or color of your choice) craft paint. Smooth your finger over it to even the paint out. Practice a few test stamps on a piece of paper.
3. Redip the celery in your paint and press to the clutch. Press firmly and hold the celery stamp in place for 15 to 20 seconds.
4. Remove the celery stamp slowly and allow to dry.
5. Use the green fabric paint as well as a paint brush to add some greenery. Just freehand some simple vines and leaves.
6. Allow your paint to dry. Your celery stamp clutch is now ready to be used. You can wash it if needed, just turn it inside out prior to washing.
Aren’t these darling? So many options for things to print on!!
I love the look and feel of this Celery Flower Clutch, so much so that we have been experimenting with other burlap items to stamp on. Here are a few other items that I think would be neat to try…wouldn’t a Celery Flower Stamped lamp shade be wonderful?

That’s so pretty, I’ve seen a few things with the celery print flower on them but I’ve still not tried it out yet. I’m inspired – thanks!
Nice idea… it turned out nicely. 🙂
Using the end of a celery stalk is the best and most clever idea!!
What a nice result!
I read the title a few times and couldn’t figure out what it meant! Looks flipping fab! x
