The simple things. This is what we found outside our window tonight. It seems like this week has been a crazy, hectic and stormy (in more ways than one)… with little time to stop and just “be”. Just as we were finishing dinner tonight we spotted this rainbow. What a beautiful reminder of what happens after a storm.
Or in my case, at the end of a crazy, hectic week. A storm of a week that ended up in a priceless moment of simply “being”. Just being together, looking at the rainbow.
And what I truly must confess that I love most about this photo is that I held my camera just high enough to escape all of the imperfections that are lingering on our large to-do list. I won’t go into detail – but trust me – focusing on the simple things made this a pretty perfect picture and a great lesson.
Sometimes to enjoy the right moment you have to literally overlook all of the things that really don’t matter, so that you can focus on all of the things that do.
