Making Vintage Christmas Ornaments

How to Make a Thimble Christmas Tree Ornament

1. Begin by cutting your bottle brush tree to size. You want to have a small tree that will fit in your thimble. To do this, it is easiest to cut off the top of a small bottle brush tree. Just bend the top and use your scissors to break it free.
2. Add a dab of glue to the inside of the thimble and add some cotton. This will look like snow.
3. Add an additional drop of glue to the top of the cotton. Press the bottle brush tree segment to the cotton until it is secure in place.
4. Finish the piece by adding some twine for hanging. Tie it into a loop and add some glue before pressing it to the side of the thimble.

Tiny Tree Ornament

Once your glue is dry, your thimble holiday ornament is ready to be displayed. How easy was that? Gather your supplies and give this sewing inspired thimble holiday ornament a try!
