Make Your Own Halloween Treat Bags: FREE Printable

You can make your own Halloween goodie bags using my free Halloween treat bag printables with very few other supplies needed.

DIY Treat Bag Supplies

Supplies you’ll need to make these goodie bags:

  1. Printed treat bag tags: Free Halloween Bat Tag printable and the Free Halloween Pumpkin Tag printable
  2. Clear plastic bags – You can use store bought bags or make your own custom sized bags
  3. Scissors
  4. X-acto knife
  5. Candy!!!
  6. Stapler or craft glue (but stapling is easier and less messy)

*If you are worried about ink usage, you’ll see that I also provided some color variations on the free printables page. You might also consider getting these printed at a copy center, as many of them offer great pricing right now on color copies especially if you can pair your visit with a current coupon offer or promotion. (Staples offers some great copy center promotions on printing from time to time)

Instructions for assembling your goodie bags:

Step ONE:

The first thing you’ll want to do is to print out the free Halloween goodie bag printables.

(Go here for the Bat Tag and the Pumpkin Tag)  Use scissors to cut out the tags by cutting along the border of the main pattern and then use an x-acto knife to cut open the top part of the ears of the bat; do the same for the pumpkin stem.

Step TWO:

Fold the tag into half, keeping the ears popped up with the front side of the tag (the face of the bat).

Step THREE:

Take a clear plastic bag and customize its size as per the size of the width of the tags. Fill the clear plastic bag with candies and close its open end by folding it twice.

Use a stapler to attach the tag and the folded part of the Halloween goodie bag together.

Step FIVE:
