Pura Vida: Handmade Bracelets with a Story

Have you heard of Pura Vida website? Their story is a pretty neat one and I am thrilled to be working with them and sharing their products and story with you.
The Pura Vida Story
Five years ago, a college graduation trip to Costa Rica turned into a life-changing business venture for two Southern California friends, Griffin Thall and Paul Goodman. While traveling through Costa Rica, Griffin and Paul crossed paths with two bracelet peddlers named Jorge and Joaquin. Jorge and Joaquin were living in poverty and Griffin and Paul had an idea. They would take the peddler’s handmade bracelets (400 of them) back to San Diego to see if they could sell them. The bracelets sold out but even more so, an idea for a partnership was born.
“Pura Vida” is Spanish for “pure life”, a Costa Rican philosophy that encourages the appreciation of life’s simple treasures. Slowing things down, celebrating good fortune, and refusing to take anything for granted embodies this laidback lifestyle. “Pura Vida” means choosing to live life to the fullest. It’s more than just a saying… it’s a lifestyle.
Our thoughts?
We had the chance to review these bracelets and I have to tell you: the price, the story, the cause and the possibilities all have me loving this product. These bracelets are SO neat, affordable and what a wonderful story behind them. My daughter quickly zoomed in on these and has been wearing them everyday. They are darling and I love that they make a fun statement without breaking the bank.
