Disney’s PLANES FIRE AND RESCUE flies into stores everywhere TODAY, November 4th!
Hold on to your seats! Disney’s Planes Fire & Rescue is going to take you on a wild(fire!) ride!!
I am ALWAYS excited for a new Disney film, but I was actually caught off guard by how much I loved this film. I knew that it would be similar to the original Planes movie, and I realized it was going to involve fire and rescue, but I had no idea how far it would take us into yet ANOTHER Disney world. Planes Fire & Rescue shows us the world of firefighters and rescue vehicles. We meet new characters and get an intense look into the services and rescue jobs that these characters perform. This film is full of beautiful scenery and the most amazing action shots. You almost forget that you are watching animation.
Planes Fire & Rescue continues to tell the story of Dusty, the little crop duster that we met in the original Planes film. Due to some challenges, Dusty decides to go off to try his hand as part of a fire and rescue team. This adventure pulls in all kinds of wonderful messages about trying new things, making new friends and believing in yourself (and others). Somehow, Disney manages to make all of this not only exciting but breathtaking as Dusty and his friends fly through amazing scenery and bring us on some edge-of-your-seat wildfire adventures. Don’t think that you can predict how this all unfolds though. The story line is strong, and these characters, like many Disney characters before them, will definitely find their place in Disney history as favorites among many.
More than anything though, I love the attention to detail and research that went into making this film. (Kudos out to Paul Gerard (Creative Development Director) and Jeff Howard (Co-Writer) and their amazing teams!) After watching this film you will feel like you just spent time inside a real wildfire rescue workers world and this “realness” is such an amazing tribute to those men and women that choose these fire and rescue jobs for a living.
This is so much more than a children’s movie, it’s a very educational movie about real jobs (important jobs!) that people in our world are doing every.single.day. Adults and children alike will love this film and the journey that it takes the viewer on. There is a wonderful mix of humor, storyline, excitement and a killer action sequence set to an ACDC tune! (I still can’t get over that, it’s my very favorite part of this movie!)
Planes Fire & Rescue has some AWESOME bonus features:
