Disney Secret of the Wings Blu-ray™ Combo Pack Review #DisneyInHomeBloggers
During my recent trip to California with Disney In Home Bloggers, I had the awesome opportunity to participate in a private screening of Disney’s Secret of the Wings in 3D on the big screen. It was a truly wonderful experience, and as if I didn’t already love Tinker Bell, I now have a huge spot in my heart for her. I could not wait to get home and watch this movie with my kids. There is a special kind of magic that happens when you watch a Disney movie with children… and I love (LOVE!) and am so thankful for the moments when I get to experience this kind of magic with my kids.
This movie kicks off with the beautiful scenery and personality that you would expect a Tinker Bell movie to have … and quickly begins to unfold a story of a wonderful land, and even more importantly, shares with you the special life of Tinker Bell and her friends. One by one, you are introduced to charming characters and creatures like Cheese, the mouse. He is one of my favorites, even though his role in the movie is very short, it is an example of how darling and memorable these special characters are! This movie is FULL of characters that will steal your heart as they unfold for you, the secret of the wings.
I love that feeling that you get when you sink into a new Disney movie, and you already know that you love it. You haven’t even finished watching it yet, but you know that you will most likely see it many more times in your lifetime, because you have already connected… you have already let these characters into your heart. From the get go, Tinker Bell had my heart. Her sweet personality, and her charming nature, along with her relationships with those around her … darling.
The real adventure starts when a curious Tinker Bell sets her sites on the Winter Woods, a place forbidden to a warm fairy like herself. However, her persistence brings her to the border where something magical happens…and a determined Tink won’t give up until she discovers the real reason that she is so drawn to the Winter Woods.
As you might have guessed, it is a sisterly bond that draws Tinker Bell to cross the border, and connect with the sister that she never knew that she had, and from there, the story takes off on a magical journey of sisterhood and love as she and her sister Periwinkle share some wonderful adventures, and some truly touching moments as they bring their two worlds together.
In true Disney magic… this movie will steal your heart and most likely, bring tears to your eyes. I won’t give the most touching parts away, but I will tell you .. prepare to have your heart stings tugged and, and a lump in your throat. The good kind of lump, that only a Disney movie can create. I can’t wait to see what future adventures we will see from Tinker Bell and her new friends!
