Copycat Orange Julius Recipe
Orange Julius Recipe
We love our summer drinks and this Copycat Orange Julius Recipe is one of our favorites!
It is so easy to whip up and everyone in my family loves it.
We love it as an afternoon treat, but we actually enjoy this copycat Orange Julius recipe with breakfast quite often as well. It tastes just like the Orange Julius drinks that you get at the mall, but obviously at a fraction of the cost!
The more that you make this recipe, the more that you can experiment with it. My family prefers the simple Orange Julius type flavor, but sometimes I will add in strawberries or raspberries just to zing it up a little.
Ingredients for homemade Orange Julius (Serves 2 8oz glasses )
1 can of Orange Juice Concentrate pulp free (Frozen)
1 C Water (cold)
1 C Milk (2%)
1/4 C Sugar (more or less to your liking)
3 tsp Vanilla Extract
1 C Vanilla Ice Cream
Ice (1 cup – 2 cups to preference)
How to make Orange Julius at home
Using a blender (we love our Ninja blender!) add all ingredients and puree for 2-3 minutes.
If the beverage is not frothy enough, just add more ice.
This is one of our favorite drinks to make with breakfasts and also a great one for a refreshing afternoon treat.
I prefer it extra frothy, so I like to add extra ice. It can be made with or without the sugar, but to make it most like the true Orange Julius drink, you’ll want the flavor that the sugar adds. To be honest, I like it just as well if not better without.
For variation, blend in a banana or two. Enjoy!
