2015 She Saved Gift Pick #1: Boogie Board Original 8.5″ LCD eWriter

I have been reviewing products for over 8 years now, and in that time, have acquired quite a few favorites. Items that, in my opinion, not only make great gifts because of either their uniqueness or quality (or both) but also because of the people that stand behind the products. The Boogie Board line of products is one of those brands.

My daughter originally received the Boogie Board Original 8.5″ LCD eWriter for Christmas last year. It was her favorite gift. It was a huge bummer then, when her Boogie Board just totally quit working just one day later. We were stumped, and really bummed. I googled for company info and found a 1-800 number, and took a chance. I was shocked to not only have my call answered, but a very helpful company representative walked me through some steps to test out our product. After determining that it was malfunctioning, he assisted me in getting it replaced. I was not only pleased, but very impressed. 

Fast forward a year — and our replacement Boogie Board has been on countless family trips and provided hours and hours of entertainment. Such a great product, very durable, kids LOVE this tablet and adults to too!

We spend a lot of time at different sporting activities for my son, and my daughter is rarely without her Boogie Board to keep her entertained. As you can see, she has made an art of finding a comfy spot to cuddle up with her Boogie Board and create:

How it works

I have no idea HOW it actually works, but it’s pretty stinkin’ cool! You use the included stylus to write on the tablet and with just one touch, the entire image will erase. You can do this over and over again and it’s actually a bit addictive, not to mention, very entertaining. It tends to be a favorite when we have kids over to play, they always enjoy drawing on this.
