Easy Key Lime Pie Recipe

This delicious pie can be put together in minutes and maybe that’s why I love it so much. I love a good easy recipe, and this is definitely one of the best ones! Perfect for a hot summer day – there is no need to bake desserts when you can make this classic recipe. Such an easy dessert recipe and it takes minimal effort.

I keep all of the ingredients on hand so this is my go-to when we need to bring a dessert or I want to bring a treat to a friend or neighbor.

Mix up a few basic ingredients, pour them into a prepared pie crust, and chill for an hour.

I love this one to go along with a light dinner, a summer cookout or for something sweet on St. Patrick’s Day when you need a little green.

I usually make two of these easy key lime pies at once, one to keep at home, and one to share with a neighbor, friend or to bring to an event.

They never last long and they are so refreshing and delicious, the perfect blend of sweet and tangy!

EASY Key Lime Pie Ingredients

(you could make your own homemade crust with graham crackers, but this is so much easier!)

  • 2 regular limes (for garnish)

How to make this easy Key Lime Pie with REAL Key Lime Juice

Put the softened cream cheese in a large bowl and mix with a stand mixer or your hand mixer until creamy. Add the sweetened condensed milk and mix until combined.

Add the lime juice and the food coloring. Mix until combined.

Pour into the pie tin. Refrigerate until set, about an hour.

Garnish with lime zest and lime slices if you’d like. Yummy with some whipped cream topping on top, too!

See how easy? Since you’ve pre-bought your pie shell, this is one recipe that is really easy to make – especially if you keep all main ingredients on hand. As far as summer desserts go, I hate to use my oven – so this simple graham cracker crust classic key lime pie is my go-to. Such a yummy creamy filling and a wonderful tangy flavor it really is the best key lime pie recipe I’ve been able to make, and it’s also by far the easiest that I’ve tried.

It’s the perfect summer dessert because it’s light and refreshing and always a welcome addition to any party or BBQ dessert table. Made with just a handful of ingredients, it’s really affordable to make too!

It tastes and looks just like a traditional key lime pie straight out of south Florida or Key Largo, and no one will need to know your key lime desserts secret!

Recipe notes:

Of course this recipe is always best when made with fresh lime juice. However, bottled lime juice works as well.

You could make this more like a lemon meringue pie by using cream on tip whipped until stiff peaks form.
