Easy Homemade Apple Doughnuts Recipe

Easy Homemade Apple Doughnuts

If you are a regular reader of my site, then you might have gathered that I am not one to post complicated and/or detailed recipes or crafts.

I am easily overwhelmed by details, especially in the kitchen. I am also usually running around like a madwoman, as I am sure that many of you can relate to.

I do, however, love to make fun and delicious treats for my family, and this Easy Homemade Apple Doughnuts recipe is a great one for fall. It’s quick, affordable and goes amazing with a cup of milk, and even better with a cup of hot cider!

Homemade Apple Doughnuts

Ingredients for Homemade Apple Doughnuts

• 1 container of refrigerated biscuits
• 1 large apple, diced (add more if you like)
• 2 tablespoons butter
• 2 tablespoons brown sugar
• ½ cup whipping cream
• ¼ cup powdered sugar
• Cinnamon (optional)

In a small bowl, melt the butter. Add in the brown sugar and diced apple. Mix until the apple is coated.
In a larger bowl, cut each refrigerated biscuit into 4 to 6 pieces. Use the entire container. Pour the
apple/butter mixture over the top of the biscuits and toss together until biscuits are somewhat coated.

Add in a sprinkle of cinnamon if desired.

Place a small amount of the dough in each section of a non-stick doughnut pan. If you don’t have a doughnut
pan, you can find them on Amazon right now with Amazon Prime. I love my doughnut
pan, so many fun uses for it!

Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until the biscuits are slightly browned on the tops and bottoms.

Frosting (optional, but oh-so good): In a bowl, mix together the whipping cream and powdered sugar until there are no lumps left in it.

Serve frosting as a drizzle over the doughnuts.

You could also make this recipe in a loaf pan as a pull apart Apple Monkey Bread. Enjoy!
