YumYum! Real Baking Oven Review
The YumYum! Baking Oven is a kid friendly baking oven introduces kids to the joy of baking and spending time in the kitchen. One thing that I love the most about this toy oven is that they creating this product with safety in mind.
Anyone else remember their Easy Bake Oven from the 70s and 80s? I loved mine but I do remember that it got quite hot, and I was recently reading about how some kids were actually burnt from a 2007 model of the Easy Bake Oven. But, no worries about that with the YumYum! Real Baking Oven as they made safety a high priority!

What’s in the YumYum! Baking Oven box? This Target exclusive toy includes the YumYum! Real baking oven, a baking tray, a baking spatula, mixing whisk and instructions.

You can purchase YumYum! baking mixes and decorating kits (recommended) or you can come up with your own sweet treats. There are several baking mixes available to purchase separately:

How this Toy Baking Oven Works
The YumYum! Real Baking Oven is easy to use! I love that it’s built for kids and helps to make the baking process understandable and not overwhelming.
As mentioned, this toy was created with safety as a high-priority. The oven features a safety device that ensures that the oven door will only open when it is completely cool. This keeps little hands (and big hands) safe from hot surfaces or hot food.
Added features make sure that when the oven is hot, a line appears in the temperature gauge until it cools off. To be extra safe, the gauge will be blank until it’s safe to open the oven. In addition, the oven door stays locked while it is hot. (see what I mean about extra safety precautions?)
Finally, the cooling period is initiated by sliding the on/off switch to off after baking is finished. Set a 25 minute timer to make sure it’s safe to handle the oven and your sweet treats.

I’m always looking out for great gift ideas for the holiday season. I think the YumYum! Real baking oven is such a great way to introduce young kids to baking, as well as a wonderful way to spend quality time together! I always love toys that feel like they promote good ol’ fashioned fun (and no screen time, yay!!)
