Oven Roasted Asparagus

Nothing is as delicious in the spring as a simple appetizer or side dish made with a few ingredients and oven roasting asparagus.

The last thing that I want to do as the weather gets warmer is spend a lot of time in the kitchen.

Oven Roasted Asparagus

Asparagus Ingredients

Ingredients for Over Roasted Asparagus

  • 1 lb Asparagus
  • 1/4 cup olive oil (use less if desired)
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese, shredded
  • salt and pepper

How to roast asparagus in the oven:

Cutting Asparagus

Heat oven to 425. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Wash asparagus and break off the dry ends. Discard ends. Place onto the prepared baking sheet.

Pouring Olive Oil Over Asparagus

Pour olive oil over asparagus.

Coating Asparagus With Oil
Use both hands to fold up the short ends of the aluminum foil and “roll” it back and forth to coat the asparagus with olive oil.

Asparagus in a Pan

Use your fingers to line the asparagus in a single layer. (When you are done, rub that olive oil on the back of your hands to add some amazing moisture). Sprinkle asparagus (not your hands) with salt and pepper.

Asparagus with Parmesan Cheese

Bake for 15-20 minutes or until asparagus is tender. Remove from pan and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
