Slime you can EAT! This easy edible slime recipe made with Starbursts will be a hit with kids!

Here’s what you’ll need to get started:

Ingredients for Edible Slime made with Starburst Candy

41-ounce Bag of Starburst Candy (any flavor variety)
Water
1/4 Cup Corn Starch
1/4 Cup Powdered Sugar

How to make edible homemade slime with Starburst candy:

Unwrap all of the Starburst candies in the bag. Don’t eat any, you will need them al!

Once they are all unwrapped, place them into a glass bowl.

Sift corn starch and powdered sugar together in a bowl and set aside.

Find a pot that fits your glass bowl nicely.

Fill the pot with water.

You will now place the glass bowl full of Starburst candies onto of the bowl barely submersed into the water.

Bring the water to a low boil while continually stirring until the Starburst candy is melted. Remember, this step might be a tough one for younger kids, so please supervise this step for safety reasons.

Once melted, remove the bowl from the heat and allow to cool for 5-10 minutes before handling.

While the melted Starbursts are cooling, gently pour the powder mixture onto a cutting board and spread it out.

Once the Starburst mixture is cool enough to handle, but still warm, place it on top of the power mixture and knead with your hands until the powder is all mixed in and the dough becomes stretchy.

You now have edible slime!

How to store edible slime

I recommend storing in a glass container with a lid and that way you can easily reheat in the microwave to soften if when needed. This might be a fun recipe to pair with my FREE Valen-SLIME Valentine’s Day printable cards!
