STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS Press Event (Out of this world AWESOME!)
Last week I had the awesome opportunity to attend the STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS press event in LA. Since I can’t quite find the words to express how awesome it was, here are some of my favorite photos:
STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS Press Conference
We had the opportunity to interview some of the cast and directors/producers from this film in smaller groups (more on those interviews to come!) but we were also allowed to attend a really epic press conference which was moderated by Mindy Kaling and included Carrie Fisher, Lupita Nyong’o, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley and J.J. Abrams. While they kept this interview very light, they are revealing SO little about this movie, it was so fun and the interaction between the panel was hilarious. Carrie Fisher is the real deal. She really owned her title as the original female tough girl, and I love it! I can’t wait to see this cast together in action! Stay tuned also – for my individual interviews with Harrison Ford (Han Solo), Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron), Lupita Nyong’o (Maz Kanat), John Boyega (Finn), Daisy Ridley (Rey), Director, Writer & Producer J.J. STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS Characters
There is something crazy about meeting a character that in your head you KNOW is not real, but in your heart, is VERY real. I can’t get over how giddy I was to meet C-3PO and R2-D2. Even more so when C-3PO grabbed my hand and told me that R2-D2 liked my STAR WARS shirt. Best compliment EVER! Meeting BB-8 was pretty cool too, and I’m certain that he’s going to be a huge hit with adults and kids alike!

Among some of my favorite STAR WARS heroes, I also spotted some villains….
And had my own little Princess Leia “time to move along” moment. Whew! That was close!
STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS Merchandise
I am the first to admit, I love the movies, but I also LOVE the merchandise! I can’t get over all of the STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS merchandise that is available right now, and just in time for the holidays! STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS Costumes
One of my favorite features about the STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS press event was that they had costumes displayed for viewing. I can’t get over how amazing some of these are. I would have to say that my very favorite one was that of Captain Phasma. I’d like to order that in a women’s size medium please? I would wear that everyday, it’s amazing!
Disneyland SEASON OF THE FORCE
The icing on the cake of this amazing day was that after our press event, we headed to Disneyland where we were able to experience the Season of the Force! Of course, that means all of your normal Disneyland greatness, with bonus STAR WARS awesome added in! We of course rode STAR TOURS (one of my favorites!) and I was so excited to see a cameo appearance from BB-8 himself on the ride, so be on the look out for that if you go to Disneyland anytime soon!
And of course, the evening was made complete with a fun STAR WARS themed meal. My burger came in a Han Solo box and my soda came in a fun Chewbacca mug and the best part of all? A Darth Maul eclair that was as delicious as it looks! (evil good!)
