The Disneyland 60th Anniversary Diamond Celebration
I had the awesome opportunity to spend some time in LA last week to participate in The Disneyland 60th Anniversary Diamond Celebration. Since returning home, I have spend every morning sipping my coffee and thinking back to my amazing time at Disneyland. Honestly, Disneyland is just so good for the soul… it brings out joy and happiness that renews my energy and adds a spring to my step!
60 years of Disneyland magic!!
That’s right!
60 years ago, Walt Disney dreamed up this magical place, where dreams really do come true!
And true to Disney fashion, they celebrate 60 years in a big way. If you have the opportunity to visit Disneyland during the 60th celebration, I highly recommend doing so, as the 60th anniversary has brought even more excitement to the park!
As part of my time at Disneyland, I was invited to a special Disneyland 60th Anniversary Diamond Celebration lunch. My favorite part of the lunch was that they had a Disney artist there who was sketching Disney characters. It was amazing how easy that she made it look, it was so neat to watch!
We even got a special tour of the park from the two 2015-2016 Disneyland Ambassadors, Jessica Bernard and Alli Kawamoto.
For the Disneyland 60th Anniversary Diamond Celebration you will find signs of the celebration all over the park. From special merchandise items in the gift shop to the characters themselves, if you can visit Disneyland during the celebration, you will notice special diamond touches all over the park.
I think that my favorite part of my day in Disneyland was the Paint the Night parade. WOW. I don’t even have words to describe it, so I will let the photos do the talking. This parade brought tears to my eyes several times, so I can only begin to imagine what it would be like to see this from a child’s perspective:
And as if the parade wasn’t magical enough… that is closely followed by a fireworks show! And it’s not just any fireworks show, it’s insanely amazing:
…and for me, I think that the very most magical moment was when I looked up and saw Tinker Bell flying around the castle. It was just SO magical. That’s the only word that I have for it. Magical.
The Disneyland 60th Anniversary Diamond Celebration will continue on into next summer (2016) and I highly recommend visiting while the celebration is still going on.
