Disney’s The Jungle Book in Theatres April 15th!
I can’t tell you how excited that we are for this movie. THE JUNGLE BOOK was one of my son’s favorites as a little guy, and we have always called him our “little Mowgli”. I remember him stomping around the house singing”The Bare Necessities” in nothing but a diaper. Oh how I miss those days, and the memories are so dear to my heart.
Just thinking of this movie had me digging through old photos to look at my sweet little Mowgli. As I go through all of these photos (sob!) I am reminded of why we started calling him Mowgli in the first place. That hair! Mix that in with a rough and tumble personality and this kid has always been up for adventures, just like Mowgli. Throw in the animal personalities and it is no wonder that this movie is one that our entire family enjoys and we absolutely can’t wait for the live action film to hit theaters. When?

Here’s my little Mowgli now. A tad bit more grown up (10) and still as adventurous as ever. Someone asked me a couple of weeks ago about his hair. About why we let him keep it long. I think that aside from the fact that he has wonderful hair, I think that there is just a part of my mama heart that can’t stand to watch my little Mowgli grow up so fast, and that hair – well, it’s just a reminder that my little Mowgli is still here, just getting bigger and more adventurous all the time. I can’t WAIT to see this movie with my little jungle boy…. gosh I love this kid!
