From time to time, I love to make my kids a quick snack that seem like a dessert, but still has some healthy qualities to it. This easy Chocolate Banana Smoothie recipe fits the bill because it is not only easy (as in SUPER easy) but it is also delicious with not too many ingredients in it. You can, of course, add to this recipe, but these 4 simple ingredients make a drink that the kids love. Sometimes, I will add a tablespoon of peanut butter for an added treat, but be warned: once you try it with the peanut butter then you might not like it without 🙂
1 ripe or frozen banana, cut into chunks
2-3 tbs. chocolate syrup
1 C. milk
1 C. ice
Add all the ingredients to your blender or food processor and blend for 30 seconds to 1 minute making sure all the ice is blended.
Pour into 2 glasses and you’re on your way! Enjoy!
*Makes approximately two 8 oz. servings.
