Here’s are some fun freebie printables that will keep the kids busy this week! If you go to the Crayola website you will be able to print out Easter coloring sheets, word games, crafts and more! My daughter is busy right this moment working on this Easter wreath for our front door!

Here’s a fun and easy craft idea for the kids this Easter… this would make a really fun gift for a grandparent and/or classroom project!
You will need:
A small pot
Wooden Egg (you could also do this with a blown out egg…depending on how brave you are)
Easter Grass/Paper
Paint
Brushes
QTips (makes it so much easier for little hands to paint with!)
Ribbon for Bow
Have the kids decorate their eggs and then stick the Easter Grass and Egg into the pot. Hot glue works great or you can leave it removable.
I always like to write their name and date on things like this so that I can remember who made it and when.
Thanks for my friend Shannon (Art Mom extraordinaire) for helping me with this idea!!

Here’s a fun (and easy!) craft for you do to with your little ones this Easter! My four year old and I just finished making a few of these, and we had a ball!
All that you will need is an empty milk jug, paper for the ears, a cotton ball tail and a few pipe cleaners and googly eyes. (or you could just draw the whiskers and eyes on). Just cut the top off of a clean milk jug (an adult will have to do this part) and decorate! Fill with Easter grass and this makes for a fun way to recycle a used milk jug into a darling Easter basket!
Added bonus! This makes for a great bin to store your plastic Easter eggs in!

Guest Post: Trish from Mom on Timeout has another fun St. Patrick’s Day idea to share with us:
St. Patrick’s Day is tomorrow and what’s more fun that celebrating with rainbows! These cupcakes are a delicious and festive way to enjoy this special day!
Make up your cupcakes and spread a thin layer of frosting. I used a lemon cake mix and added in lime zest and fresh lime juice to give the cake some nice flavor. Strawberry, lime and funfetti cake mixes would also pair nicely with the skittles. I used rainbow cupcake liners to make these extra special!
Now is the fun part – decorating! I think it’s fun to have the kids help decorate and to see what they come up with. We made all kinds of rainbows and added frosting for clouds. So easy, so fun, and SO delicious!

When I think of St. Patrick’s Day I immediately think of rainbow and pots of gold. This craft is fun to put together and looks great too!
Materials Needed:
terra cotta pot
black and green paint
gold chocolate coins
colored popsicle sticks (or paint regular ones)
floral foam
cotton balls
card stock or small paper plate
glue
Instructions:
1. Paint the pot black.
2. Push the foam down into the pot. Stick the popsicle sticks in at an angle so it looks like the rainbow is ending in the pot. Make sure there is enough foam in the pot for the gold coins.
3. Fill with gold coins.
4. Cut out a cloud shape from card stock or paper plate.
5. Glue cotton balls to make the cloud. I pulled the cotton balls apart to get the cloud nice and fluffy.
6. Glue the cloud onto the popsicle sticks. You can add more cotton balls on the back if you like.
I finished off the pot by painting a shamrock onto the front and adding a ribbon.

Leprechaun Hats are the perfect craft project for St. Patrick’s Day. Easy to make and so cute too!
Materials Needed:
Styrofoam plate and cup
green and black paints & paint brush
gold coins (optional)
pipe cleaners – various colors
hot glue
small pom poms (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cut out a circle from the plate. Paint the cup and plate green. It takes several coats and is great practice for the kids.
2. Paint a black stripe around the cup and glue the cup to the plate to make the hat.
3. Form a rectangle out of gold pipe cleaner and glue to the hat OR glue on a gold coin.
4. To make the flower, twist the pipe cleaner to form one petal and then twist the ends. Shape another petal and then twist the ends again. Keep repeating until you have your desired number of petals.
5. Use green pipe cleaner for the stem and wrap the ends of the pipe cleaner that you used for the flower around the green pipe cleaner.
6. Glue a small pom pom to the center of the flower and then glue onto the hat.
They turned out so cute and were quite easy. I love how the flowers brighten these little Leprechaun Hats up!

It all started when we decided to take the ice cream scoop out and get ourselves some freshly fallen snow. In case you have never tried this (I hadn’t) …it so fun!
So, we scooped to our hearts content, and when we were done, we decided to bring a bowl full of freshly scooped snow inside. We then proceeded to make little dishes of “ice-cream”. (are you still with me?) Well…as you can guess, the snow ice cream started to melt. At first, we were were bummed

But then!
We realized that we had something REALLY incredible on our hands… Snowball Soup! So we mixed and we added (crackers, lemon juice and 2 kinds of sprinkles) until it was just perfect. And it was. It was just perfect:
Now, I realize that this is no “pin” worthly post. No parenting magazines will be reaching out to me for my super awesome kid’s recipe ideas. You won’t see this idea featured on the latest “how is she such an amazing mom?” talk show. (dang! I always forget to watch that show anyway…)
BUT. I will tell you this. If my daughter cared about social media (which she does NOT) then she would like/tweet/share/pin this adventure. Because in her world, this was just about the coolest thing ever. Which, in turn… makes it just about the coolest thing in mine.
The reason that I am sharing this with all of you, is that because sometimes, it really is the little things. And this isn’t just a recipe for Snowball Soup. It’s a recipe for connection. Creation. Moment building. We had no box or packaging to mess with, no instruction booklet to ignore, no batteries. It’s a reminder, because sometimes, we forget… I forget. We forget that all that our kids really want, is us. US in a moment with THEM. ON PURPOSE. We get so side tracked thinking that our kids need the latest and greatest., when really, they would be perfectly happy (thrilled even!) with Snowball Soup.
*And, here’s a little known fact: Did you know that you MUST have an invitation to eat Snowball Soup? Well, yes, you must. And four private invitations (actually 5, if you count Turkey, our cat…who never did show up for the party) were handed out in our home for the Snowball Soup feast. My husband was the first to be served. He had that look on his face. You know, the one that people get on shows like Fear Factor. You know, right before they eat live beetles? THAT look. He kept buying time with the question, “Well, what is it?”
My daughter must have repeated the following sentence to my husband at least 5 times: “Snow, crackers, lemon juice and 2 kinds of sprinkles….” And “you are going to loooooove it daddy!”
Snowball Soup is now one of my favorite recipes. It is simply delicious.
This will be a fun thing to have on hand for the kiddos when they need something to do. Go here to print these cute FREE coloring pages. So good to have on hand for those rainy days.
I think this is so cute. And would make a really cute Valentines card for a Grandparent, Mom, Dad, etc….These cute fingerprint hearts can be made with what lots of people have around the house, so hopefully no running to the store to buy anything. I think you could also make the hearts a different color if you didn’t have the red ink.
Thanks AllCrafts.net/Kansas City Library for this idea and photo, and ready Yori for sharing!
