Panasonic FlashXpress Toaster Oven

Panasonic FlashXpressOne thing that we had a lot of this summer here in Idaho was HEAT.

So much so, that it made me want to spend as little time in the kitchen as possible. We grilled a lot and we tried to avoid the oven as much as we could.

When I was asked to take the Panasonic FlashXpress Toaster Oven Summer Challenge I was pretty excited because it’s a great solution to cooking meals in the kitchen without the heat!

The Panasonic FlashXpress Toaster Oven works faster than most toaster ovens.

Thanks to the double infrared heating it actually produces instant heat which means quicker heating/cooking times and more evenly cooked food in a fraction of the time!

Where to purchase? Affordably priced (on sale on Amazon right now with GREAT reviews) this little oven would be the perfect gift for a college student. I actually love it as an addition to my kitchen as it really is nice to not have to fire up the big oven when I can easily make dinner for the four of us in this little oven.

Product Features

  • Double Infrared Heating (Quartz & Ceramic)
  • 6 Pre-set Cooking Modes
  • Digital Timer (Up to 25 min.)
  • Temperature Settings (250°F – 500°F)
  • Removable Crumb Tray

My thoughts? I think that my favorite thing about this oven is how compact it is, while still being very roomy on the inside.

It looks nice on the counter and fits in well with my existing kitchen appliances. The auto cook menu is nice, especially for the kids. It takes the guess work out of cooking things like waffles, toast and frozen foods. It has a nice interior light which makes it easy to keep an eye on your food, especially as you are learning to use it, and the viewing is wide open so you have a great visual of your food as it cooks.

It also comes with some nice accessories that include a square-shape inner tray — a perfect fit for pizza up to 9 inches in diameter or up to four slices of bread — plus a baking tray and removable crumb tray.

My favorite uses for the Panasonic FlashXpress Toaster Oven?

We will definitely be using this toaster oven a LOT for breakfast. I make waffles in bulk and freeze them and this is a great way to warm them up quick. It also works great for toast since I can fit four pieces in which is much quicker than our old toaster.

I think that the BIGGEST win however for my family will be using this for leftover nights. If I plan ahead (or even if I don’t!) I can actually get quite a bit of mileage out of our food by doing this! For example two nights ago, we had a nice stir fry dinner with plenty of leftovers.

Last night, I was able to place the left over stir fry ingredients on corn tortilla, top with cheese and in literally under 2 minutes each, I had a plate of 2 baked tortillas. In under 10 minutes total (for the four of us) dinner was on the table and it was really good!

These are quick and easy meal solutions that are also pretty healthy.

I love that my kids can learn these recipes too, so that they can make their own snacks and meals without needing to use the big oven, which they are not ready for just yet.
