Tonight we went to the park for a picnic and to play. We left the food out while we went to play on the swings and when we came back I was SHOCKED!! We hadn’t been gone but 5 minutes! How in the world did these ants find our food…are there Ant Blogs out there? It TOTALLY reminded me of all the bloggers out there searching for deals… and then running to the Target, Walgreen, Walmart, etc, etc, etc. I am not sure how it all begins, but someone starts a chain of “WAHOOOOO!”…and there you go: Ant Stampede. Coupon Lady Stampede. It cracked me up.
I have to admit that lately I have been in a bit of a coupon funk. I still do store deals…but just alot more laid back about it than I used to be. It seems like recently though, the store deals are getting harder and harder to do … and I felt myself getting annoyed with cleared shelves, deals that didn’t work, or grouchy/annoyed checkers. Of course…I still LOVE my online deals. The Ant Stampede kind of made me realize that what we do is partially for enjoyment and partially pure and simple human nature… we are doing our JOB … we are taking care of our family. We are being pro-active and jumping on deals so that we can do our best to get the best for our own. Whew! …and all this time I thought I had a sick addiction or something!!
