Dawn Wells Video: Potato Peeling Trick

I’m an Idaho girl, born and raised and I’m always up for a good potato peeling trick! The best part about this tip is that it comes from Dawn Wells, aka Mary Ann from Gilligan’s Island! I’d actually never tried this tip before but I have to say, I’m impressed because it works like a charm!

Check out this video as Dawn Wells demonstrates a unique way to peel an Idaho potato without the use of a potato peeler!

I love a good kitchen tip and this potato peeling tip was a good one, wasn’t it?

Here’s another tip that was shared with me recently from a reader:

Anytime bags of onions and/or bell peppers are on sale at the grocery store, I stock up. I go home and directly start chopping them up with my Pampered Chef Food Chopper. I store them all in Tupperware containers in the freezer. That way, when I need them for a recipe, I just take out the appropriate container with the correct cut of the vegetable I need and thaw it for a few seconds in the microwave. I use what I need, and put the remainder back in the freezer. This makes cooking dinner after a long day of work just a little bit simpler. And in my hectic life, simplicity is much needed! ~ from Joanna
