It's been that way my entire life: rocking horse, real horse...bought - borrowed - rescued or rented. It’s my happy place. Ever been stuck between a rock and a hard place?

This was that. Literally. Also one of the coolest things I’ve ever done. (hosted)

And we just kept climbing and crawling to the light at the end. Stopping wasn’t an option because going backwards was almost harder than moving forward. (Totally #life, right??)

There were honestly a few moments of doubt, but the reward was confirmation that the best and most beautiful things in life don’t come easy, but are well worth the work because #youcandohardthings 💕

We have missed travel so much!

It's no secret that this past year has been tough. While we've had a lot (a lot!) of family time, we have definitely missed traveling as a family.

One of the huge rewards for me on this trip has been watching my kids take in the sights and scenery. I can physically feel - and witness in my family - the rewards of being out in the great outdoors. I've always been well aware of the way that travel feeds my soul and watching it do the same for them is priceless.
