This poke cake turns out so pretty and you’ll find that the addition of cream cheese gives it an unexpected kick!
If you get adventurous, you could even try this with other berries, although I’ve found raspberries to be our favorite for this one. Strawberries are a pretty close second, and very similar and if you try that, you’ll want to switch to a strawberry gelatin.

This looks so pretty and tempting. I always wondered what a ‘poke’ cake was… I think it is an American term. Either way, it sounds delicious.

Oh my goodness; this sounds so delicious!!! I was going to have my son make me pineapple upside down cake for my birthday but I think I might have just changed my mind. Pinned.
I love raspberry cheesecake! This cake looks delicious!
This is from your instructions:
*½ cup powdered sugar, divided*
But in your poke recipes utilizing cream cheese you only list mixing the powdered sugar with the cream cheese.
Why are you saying to divide the powdered sugar?
Hi – and sorry, that is a typo. Thank you for catching that! I believe I was using a template from a similar recipe, and didn’t adjust it. It should just be 1/2 cup 🙂
