26acts26 Acts of Kindness | Remembering Sandy Hook

Have you heard the latest social media buzz #26Acts inspired by Ann Curry on NBC News? Ann Curry writes “After the experience in Newtown. I thought, “What if? Imagine if everyone could commit to doing one act of kindness for every one of those children killed in Newtown.” So that’s what I tweeted. And guess what? People committed.” Her suggestion has grown to to 26 acts of kindness, one for each of the Sandy Hook victims in Newtown, CT.

I love finding ways to give back and do things for others, but I do sometimes struggle with “what” to do, or how to pay things forward. This year, my family and I will be spending a day before Christmas doing random acts of kindness. We did this last year and it is so much fun, and so rewarding!

Your acts of kindness can be great or small… you can find inspiration right here. There are so many ways to give back and show that this is still a loving nation, especially at this time of year.

I would love to hear if you have committed to this project and what acts you are doing in your community!

  1. My family and I have been doing 28 acts of kindness instead of 26…all souls lost should be remembered.
