Our Hawaiian Shaved Ice Review and Why We LOVE this Machine
First of all: making snow cones is SO affordable and always a good idea on a hot summer day! We’ve tried quite a few different machines for making ice cones but this specific machine is a best seller for a reason: it’s affordable and while compact, it’s a heavy-duty machine that won’t take up much storage space. A good choice for kids and families that offers impressive performance and an easy way to kick those boredom blues of summer! Truly, the Hawaiian shaved ice s900 one of the best ice shavers we’ve tried!
This shaved ice maker does all of the work so you can have all of the fun!
You can either use ice pucks from the 2 molds provided (freeze water ahead of time) or you can also use regular ice cubes right from your freezer! Add the ice and press down on the top of the machine – and you have instant shaved ice! And if you – like me – had a Snoopy Snow Cone Maker back in the day, then you know that this version of a snow cone maker is about 500% easier than cranking that Snoopy Snow Cone handle, that was a lot of work – lol!
The quality of the machine, including the stainless steel blade, make a huge difference in how easy it is to make your shaved ice creations! I also love the non-slip mat in the base of the snow-cone machine that prevents slipping as you make your ice treat.
Added bonus is that this electric shaved ice machine is small and compact for easy storage. It has a simple design for home use and is easy to carry. I highly recommend storing each mixture in plastic squeeze bottles.
My kids love using the ketchup and mustard squeeze bottles. (you can find them at the Dollar Store!) Have the kids create fun labels for them, so cute for their sno cone stand!

Ingredients
- 2 Cups of Sugar
- 1 Cup of Water
- 1 packet of unsweetened Kool-Aid Drink Mix
Instructions
- Mix water and sugar together in a saucepan.
- Bring to a boil and stir for 1-3 minutes until all sugar is dissolved. We like to use a whisk.
- Remove from heat and add Kool-Aid packet and continue to stir until dissolved.
- Allow syrup to cool.
- Store each flavor in a plastic squeeze bottle and refrigerate when not in use.
