Eggnog French Toast Breakfast Bake Recipe

The perfect Christmas morning breakfast idea!

Actually, this Eggnog French Toast Breakfast Bake recipe is great anytime during the holiday season. It’s so easy, that it comes together quickly (yay!!) but tastes super fancy and everyone seems to love it! 

If you love eggnog recipes, this is one to add to your list. While many people focus on pumpkin spice during the holidays, my family loved to incorporate eggnog whenever we can, and this is a very unique way to do so!

Easy Eggnog french toast recipe

Ingredients for Eggnog Breakfast French Toast

8 breakfast croissants, sliced into 4-5 pieces

1 cup of eggnog

¼ teaspoon of all spice

8 whole eggs

1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract

2 oz of cream cheese, cubed

blueberries to garnish

syrup to garnish

One thing that gives this yummy eggnog french toast a special kick is the fact that it’s made with croissants. You can use other types of bread, of course – but the rich combination of the cream cheese and the croissant bread gives this easy french toast recipe an amazing flavor!

How to make Eggnog French Toast

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, eggnog, allspice, and vanilla. Set to the side.
  3. Well-grease a 8×4 baking pan. Layer in sliced croissants to cover the whole pan. Pour over the egg mixture, being sure all of the bread has been moistened. Toss in the cubed cream cheese evenly into pockets of the croissants.
  4. Bake for 30 minutes, covered with aluminum foil. Remove foil after 30 minutes, and cook an additional 10 minutes until bread has turned a beautiful golden color.
  5. Remove from heat, garnish with blueberries and syrup and serve.

Note* Blueberries can be added in the final 10 minutes of cook time, if desired, for a warm melt in your mouth blueberries.

Using croissants, it has a wonderfully rich flavor and tastes like a fancy breakfast from a french cafe. Guests will have not clue how easy it because this is one holiday breakfast idea that tastes fancy, but it's really very simple and affordable to make.
