Easy Sheet Pan Baked Chicken Fajitas
I’ve mentioned it many times, but tacos, burritos and fajitas are regularly on the menu around here and over the years I’ve looks for ways to change things up a bit, make them easier and still provide a yummy quality meal that’s a hit with my family. Introducing Easy Sheet Pan Baked Chicken Fajitas for the win, I’m telling you: Game Changer.
You might have already tried my popular Easy Chicken Stir Fry recipe, it’s another great go-to if you are looking for chicken recipe ideas that your family will love. In fact, both recipes have a lot of the same ingredients in them and I tend to switch them up based on what I have on hand.
And because we make these types of dishes so often, I try to keep these ingredients on hand most of the time.
Ingredients for making Sheet Pan Baked Chicken Fajitas:
3-4 thin sliced chicken breasts
1 red bell pepper
1 orange bell pepper
1 yellow bell pepper
1 green bell pepper
1 sweet onion
You’ll also want to have a good sheet pan. My favorites are these Wilton Perfect Results Premium Nonstick Baking Sheets. I’ve also linked to some of my other favorite Wilton baking products at the bottom of this post.
How to make Fajita seasoning:
1 Tablespoons chili powder
2 teaspoons cumin
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoons black pepper
How to make Sheet Pan Baked Chicken Fajitas
1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
2. Place 3-4 chicken breasts onto your baking pan.
3. Wash and slice your bell peppers and onions and add to a large mixing bowl.
4. Combine all the spices for the fajita seasoning in a small bowl and mix well.
5. Add 3 tablespoons of extra Virgin olive oil to your vegetable mix and toss with the fajita seasoning.
6. Scoop the vegetables onto the chicken and mix around.
7. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until chicken is fully cooked, let cool and enjoy with tortilla wraps or by itself.
