Magical Moments at Disneyland Pixar Fest
I’m still bursting with excitement over my recent trip to Disneyland. I was already in LA to cover the press event for INCREDIBLES 2 and of course, the release of this movie fits perfectly into the fact that Pixar Fest is being celebrated right now at Disneyland!
Pixar Fest is in full swing there and it runs through September 3rd. If you are a Pixar fan, I can’t recommend Pixar Fest enough. They’ve outdone themselves to celebrate all of our favorite Pixar movies and characters.
I’ve been sharing all kinds of ways to save on Disney travel lately, so I was really excited to be able to visit myself so that I can update you on the current happenings in the park!
Just walking through the gates makes me giddy! Trying all of the delicious Pixar themed treats made me giddier, lol! Check out this fantastic frozen treat that I got … isn’t it beautiful?
After enjoy the first of many treats, we headed off to ride rides. First stop was my personal favorite in California Adventure: Cars Land. Honestly, this ride is like transporting yourself into the movie CARS. You are literally racing with Lightning McQueen and his friends. It’s amazing.
Over the next few hours we hit rides in both California Adventure and Disneyland, it was a blast! Other rides for the afternoon included: Guardians of the Galaxy Mission Breakout, Matterhorn Bobsleds, The Haunted Mansion, Toy Story Mania, Indiana Jones and more!
After an afternoon of riding all of the rides, we took a break to watch the Pixar Play Parade. It’s a wonderful daytime parade full of all of our favorite Pixar friends, floats and dancers. SO much fun and I actually even teared up a few times!
What would Pixar Fest be without Pixar themed food!? The Alien Pizza Planet menu is AH-mazing and full of delicious Pixar themed goodies that are out of this world!
I selected the Cheeseburger Pizza and let me tell you … it was SO yummy. Literally like a Big Mac, but in pizza form. The kicker was the pickles on top. As you can see my little Alien Parfait was not only adorable, but yummy as well!

And of course, when the sun goes down on a day at Disneyland you have to stay for the fireworks. The Disneyland Pixar Fest Together Forever A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular Parade did not disappoint. I have no idea how they do the things they do, but it was amazing.

And of course, what makes all of this Pixar celebrating even more exciting is the fact that fourteen years AFTER the first movie, INCREDIBLES 2 is hitting theaters this month!!
Do you have a happy place? Disneyland is definitely one of mine. There is a joy that comes over me when I spend time there and each time I visit I leave with a full heart and wonderful memories to last a lifetime.
