The Perfect Mother’s Day Gift: StoryWorth Helps Mom Tell Her Story
Last Christmas (during the crazy) my good friend Lindsay over at See Mom Click mentioned to me that, albeit last minute, she had found the perfect gift for her mother. Amazingly, I had already done my shopping but tucked that little information away until we recently had another conversation about it. She mentioned StoryWorth to me again, telling me that this gift had been such a hit, and she was really enjoying the interaction with her mother as her mother answered these questions.

Everyone has a Story
Do you know what your mother’s favorite movie is? Or what your father’s first job was? What about a first kiss? College roommate? Grade school friends? Everyone has a story and let’s be honest: our stories are really what we leave with others. Lessons and memories are priceless and sadly enough, can go unheard. I would give anything to have more time with my grandparents. Both of my grandfather’s fought in several wars, and I would love to have time to sit with them and hear their stories. StoryWorth makes this possible and the process itself is one that can also be an enjoyable and bonding experience.
How it works
Each week you will be able to select and send mom a different question via email. At the end of the year, her answers will be bound in a beautiful keepsake book. StoryWorth provides sample questions to choose from, or you can write your own. This book and experience can be as personalize as you want it to be, and you can also go at your own pace. Send them weekly or skip a week if life gets busy or mom falls behind.
Once you select questions, StoryWorth will email out the questions and my favorite part is that when they get answered, you can receive mom’s answer in an email, how cool is that? You can even add other recipients as well, so the whole family can enjoy mom’s stories or you can keep them private until the book is revealed. It’s all up to you!
Here are some sample questions to give you an idea of how this might work:
My mom is a beautiful writer, so I think that I just might have found the perfect gift for her, and let’s be honest… it’s kind of a gift for me too. In fact, I think it’s a wonderful gift for the entire family as I know that my children will be so excited to learn more about grandma and her life adventures.
These books are also beautifully put together and bound. Did I mention that you can also include photos? Priceless.
