Homemade Raspberry Syrup Recipe
Raspberry Syrup Recipe
Looking for a wonderful topping for your ice cream or pancakes? Your family is going to love this Raspberry Syrup Recipe!
If you have raspberry bushes and an abundance of berries like we do then you will really appreciate this simple recipe. We are so thankful for our raspberry harvest each year, but sometimes we actually end up with more than we know what to do with. We freeze quite a bit of them, but this homemade raspberry syrup recipe has also turned out to be one of our favorite ways to use up all of these wonderful berries!
Homemade Raspberry Syrup Recipe
Ingredients:
- 12 oz fresh raspberries
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
Directions:
Add all the ingredients to a medium size saucepan.
Simmer the ingredients on medium heat, stirring occasionally.
After 15-20 minutes, remover from heat and let cool.
Store in an airtight container for 3-4 days.
We like to serve this Homemade Raspberry Syrup recipe over pancakes or ice cream and it’s even amazing in oatmeal. If you truly have an abundance of berries then you might consider making these jars of syrup as gifts for neighbors. They are great to give with a shortcake or pint of ice cream, and who wouldn’t love such a simple (and sweet!) gift!?
