I have shared with you before my love of Raise.com for purchasing discounted gift cards online to save money. With back to school right around the corner, I wanted to share with you how I have partnered with Raise.com and Kmart to rock the savings even more!
I started my shop by purchases discounted Raise.com gift cards. I saved money instantly by selecting cards that were almost 6% off face value. I had also referred a few friends to Raise.com (you get $5 in Raise credits with each qualifying referral) so I had some referral dollars to apply towards my purchase as well!
I used the Raise.com app on my phone to purchase the cards, and they were instantly emailed to me as well. We headed into Kmart to shop and I had actually forgotten the printed version of my gift cards that I had printed out before we left but no worries! Thanks to the Raise app, I was able to open the certificates on my phone for the cashier, no problem!
Here’s a peek at all of the sales and savings that we spotted at Kmart:
One important thing to remember when you shop to save, is that there are many ways that you can stack savings. Coupons are an obvious choice, but you can also pair current sales with coupons and rewards programs. Kmart uses the Shop Your Way Rewards program, so I was able to access some pretty awesome offers through that as well. You can check the Shop Your Way Rewards deals online before you shop (or during), but they also had them posted pretty clearly around the store.
My favorite promotion that they were running was the one shown above. I got $10 back instantly into my SYW Rewards account just for purchasing things that I was going to purchase anyway. All you have to do is give your phone number at checkout and they will pull up yourShop Your Way Rewards account. Easy!
As you can see… we were able to purchase a cartful of back to school items, in fact, we found everything on our list! (and then some…)
My favorite part was how simple the checkout process was, thanks to the Raise app. Because I had forgotten my printed certificates at home, I was a bit worried. But the cashier was able to type in the serial number and pin and the transaction went super easy! Here’s a peek at what the certificates look like in the Raise app:
