Easy Cherry Cobbler Recipe

Nothing beats a good cobbler, and this easy cherry cobbler recipe is not only delicious but just like it’s name, it’s so simple to put together.

With literally four ingredients (if you count the box cake mix as one ingredient) you can whip with dessert up in no time and it makes for the perfect dessert for everything from a large neighborhood get together to a simple family picnic.

Ingredients for making Cherry Cobbler

1 box (15.25 oz) butter cake mix

1 can (21 oz) Cherry Pie Filling

1 stick butter

2 teaspoons cinnamon

How to make Easy Cherry Cobbler:

 
Preheat oven to 350.
In a 9×13 pan, spread cherry pie filling onto the bottom.
Sprinkle dry cake mix on top of the cherries and spread evenly with the back of a spoon.
Sprinkle with cinnamon.

Cut butter into thin slices, about 1/8″ thick, and place on top of the cake mix.
Bake for 30 minutes or until bubbly and hot.

Cool before serving, or serve slightly warm.

  2. I have made this several times and it’s very good. I have made it using other fruit pie fillings and cake mix combos too, such as Blueberry Pie Filling and Lemon Supreme Cake Mix, substituting brown sugar for the cinnamon. Our favorite is Apple Pie with Cinnamon Spice Filling and Spice Cake Mix, omitting the additional cinnamon.
