Because motherhood isn’t easy (duh) and because motherhood can sometimes be a thankless job. It also just so happens to be, in my opinion, the greatest job on earth. Possibly the most important too. See those two little tiny people in the photo frame behind my beautiful bouquet (above) … they are my world. It hasn’t always been easy, but I’m #OneToughMother and I own every bit of that.
Teleflora get it and this year, when you celebrate mom on Mother’s Day they are encouraging you to celebrate her toughness. Her sticking power. Her ability to do all of the things that mother’s do that only a mother can truly understand. And on that note, even the very toughest of mothers can appreciate the beauty and thankfulness that comes with a wonderful bouquet of thanks!
One Tough Mother Video
Teleflora knocks it out of the park this year with their celebrations of “tough, gritty, no pain-no-gain” job that moms take on every day. Set the words of legendary coach “Vince” Lombardi and his “What It Takes To Be Number One” speech, Teleflora honors mother’s for their sacrifice and commitment. The video ad features “real life” moms to maintain the authenticity of the campaign, which celebrates every “One Tough Mother” in your life…recognizing the strength, courage, perseverance, and infinite love that inspires us through her endless journey through motherhood.
I love this video:
Isn’t that spot on? Motherhood is unlike any other journey, and it isn’t for the meek.
My One Tough Mother Story?
Yea. I have one. It started with a 3 day (THREE day!) labor that ended in an emergency c-section and the most beautiful little boy that I had ever laid my eyes on. He came into the world fighting and I feel like we have been toughing out this life together ever since. Motherhood is awesome, amazing, exciting, exhausting and it is TOUGH.
Watching your kids struggle through everything from making new friends to trying out for sports teams, it’s tough. When our kids hurt, we hurt. We ask them to be strong but we need to be stronger because we are their soft place to fall when things don’t go the way that we (they) had hoped. Being a mother means loving another person more than you could ever love yourself, and taking on all of the joys and the pains that come along with that. Am I one tough mother? Yes. I most certainly am. And if you are a mom, then I would be willing to bet that you are one too.
This year, we reviewed this gorgeous bouquet and I do have to say that there is something about receiving flowers that can really lift your heart and make you feel special. Especially if it’s in appreciation for all that you do as a mom.
Fill mom’s heart by honoring her timeless devotion with this charming 2-in-1 gift she will cherish. A luxurious mix of rich lavender roses and chrysanthemums, fragrant white lilies and eucalyptus is hand-delivered in a tall, rustic Provencal-style water pitcher (FDA-approved and food safe) that is perfect for mom’s springtime entertaining.
