Headed to LA, I am!
I have had to keep this trip under wraps for weeks, but I’m so excited to finally share! Disney, Lucasfilms, Marvel, and ABC have invited me to Los Angeles to cover some of their upcoming films and new TV show premieres!
Of course, the very most exciting is the fact that I will be attending a press junket for STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS.
STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS in theaters December 18, 2015!
My history with STAR WARS goes clear back to the 70s. I still remember seeing it at the drive-in theater when I was a kid. I thought it was the coolest thing I had ever seen. I remember thinking that Prince Leia was amazingly beautiful. I love that she could keep up with the boys. And I LOVED that STAR WARS was something that both boys and girls could enjoy together.
I recently dug out my old memory suitcase. The one that stores my favorite treasures from the 70s. Among them, I found my STAR WARS trading cards. These were the coolest thing ever! I remember that we used to ride our bikes to the Circle K and buy a pack. What I loved most about these cards was trading them. During this same time frame, Charlie’s Angels was another of my favorites. I had collected the Charlie’s Angels cards for quite some time when I started collecting the STAR WARS cards, so I had a pretty nice set. If you were a child in the 70s, then you might remember that there were a couple (one especially!) racy Charlie’s Angels cards that became quite sought after. Needless to say, I had some pretty good trading ammo when it came to getting the STAR WARS cards that I wanted from the boys. I still vividly remember one trading session where I proudly walked away with a handful of my STAR WARS favorites in exchange for a Cheryl Ladd card that a boy in my class had been begging for. Oh man, those were the days!
Imagine my joy then, when 30+ years later (ack!) my son begins his love for STAR WARS. Such an awesome experience to relive childhood favorites with your children, and our STAR WARS connection has been so much fun. When he wanted a STAR WARS party, I knew that mom and dad could deliver…it was right up our alley!

So. Needless to say, I am thrilled to be a part of this movie release. I hope that you will follow along as I share my interviews with the film makers and cast of STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS.

ZOOTOPIA Releases on March 4, 2016
I’ll be attending a special press day for ZOOTOPIA while I am in LA as well! I have been so excited for this movie – we love anything with animals… and this one looks hilarious!
The modern mammal metropolis of Zootopia is a city like no other. Comprised of habitat neighborhoods like ritzy Sahara Square and frigid Tundratown, it’s a melting pot where animals from every environment live together—a place where no matter what you are, from the biggest elephant to the smallest shrew, you can be anything. But when optimistic Officer Judy Hopps (voice of Ginnifer Goodwin) arrives, she discovers that being the first bunny on a police force of big, tough animals isn’t so easy. Determined to prove herself, she jumps at the opportunity to crack a case, even if it means partnering with a fast-talking, scam-artist fox, Nick Wilde (voice of Jason Bateman), to solve the mystery.

MARVEL’S Agent Carter Season 2 Premieres January 19, 2016
You might also know (or guess) that I’m a MARVEL fan so I’m pretty excited that I will also get to behind the scenes of the second season of “Marvel’s Agent Carter”. How cool is that?
“Marvel’s Agent Carter” returns for a second season of adventure and intrigue, starring Hayley Atwell in the titular role of the unstoppable agent for the SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve). Dedicated to the fight against new Atomic Age threats in the wake of World War II, Peggy must now journey from New York City to Los Angeles for her most dangerous assignment yet. But even as she discovers new friends, a new home – and perhaps even a new love – she’s about to find out that the bright lights of the post-war Hollywood mask a more sinister threat to everyone she is sworn to protect.
New Marvel’s Agent Carter Preview
The Bachelor Season 20 Premieres January 4, 2016
And… this is the icing on the cake. I have LONG been an addicted view of The Bachelor. (ask my hubby…he has heckled me about this for years, and years, and years….)
The 20th season of The Bachelor premieres on January 4, 2014 and in a couple days, I will be interviewing the show’s well known host, Chris Harrison!
This season it’s Ben Higgins who will be The Bachelor, which I am really excited about. He was one of my favorites from the last season of The Bachelorette. Oh my gosh, I’m almost ashamed at how much I love this show … but it’s SO good!!
I will definitely be giving you any inside scoop that I can dig up about our new Bachelor and Season 20. 20!! I can’t get over that number… and I don’t want to even think about how many hours I have logged watching this show, but it has all been well worth it my friends. It’s all in the name of love, right? 🙂
Galavant Season 2 Premieres January 3, 2016
Finally, as part of my journey in LA I will be meeting and interviewing Timothy Omundson (who plays King Richard) and two executive producers of Galavant, including Dan Fogelman (of TANGLED and CRAZY STUPID LOVE). So excited to chat about this show with them!
Galavant, and Season 2 includes 10 new episodes, premiering on January 3, 2016.
The return of last season’s breakout comedy extravaganza “Galavant” reunites screenwriter/executive producer Dan Fogelman (“Crazy, Stupid, Love,” “Tangled,” “Cars”) with the award-winning musical team of composer Alan Menken (“The Little Mermaid,” “Aladdin,” “Beauty and the Beast”) and lyricist Glenn Slater (“The Little Mermaid,” “Tangled”). Having discovered the dark side of Madalena, our dashing hero’s adventures continue as he embarks on an unlikely bromance with King Richard and fights to rekindle the romance with his true love, Isabella. “Galavant” will premiere on SUNDAY, JANUARY 3(8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) with two 30-minute episodes, back-to-back on the ABC Television Network. The ten episode series will run each Sunday night for five-consecutive weeks.
