Yay, finally! Disney’s BIG HERO 6 will be available on Blu-ray and DVD tomorrow, February 24th! I know that this is one that we are going to enjoy over and over!
Also, congratulations are in order as BIG HERO 6 won big at the Oscars last night winning the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature Film!
About: With all the heart and humor audiences expect from Walt Disney Animation Studios, BIG HERO 6 is an action-packed comedy adventure that introduces Baymax, a lovable, personal companion robot, who forms a special bond with robotics prodigy Hiro Hamada. When a devastating turn of events catapults them into the midst of a dangerous plot unfolding in the streets of San Fransokyo, Hiro turns to Baymax and his diverse group of friends — adrenaline junky Go Go Tomago, neatnik Wasabi, chemistry whiz Honey Lemon and fanboy Fred — who transform into a band of unlikely heroes. Bring home Disney’s BIG HERO 6, featuring comic-book-style action and hilarious, unforgettable characters — it’s fun for the whole family!
If you haven’t yet seen this film, here is a fun peek at the action:
Our thoughts? I adore this film. The relationship between Hiro and Baymax is so fun and I love the relationship that they build. Visually this film is outstanding, and creatively — it is very unique.
I also love the message of friendship that comes through as the characters journey through this film sharing adventures and fighting to help fight off evil.
My kids really loved this film too. My daughter loved both of the female characters, and I love that both of them were strong, smart, brave and kind girls. My son loved everything about this film, especially the adventure and action scenes.
This is the kind of film that I get excited about them enjoying because the overall message is so good and strong, and I love that they enjoy this kind of entertainment. This is a great family film that we will watch over and over together, and I think that is the part that I love the most 🙂
