If you are looking to add any FROZEN charm to your holidays, check out these FROZEN Themed Cookies: Snowball Cookies!
Ok, actually they are Russian Tea Cookies but my kids have always called them Snowball Cookies, and they are not only easy to make, but delicious! As you can imagine, they would also fit in perfectly with any FROZEN themed cookies or party favors that you might be using. In fact, they are wonderful for any type of holiday gathering because of their wintery look!
- 1 cup slightly softened Butter
- ½ cup Powdered Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- Pinch of Salt
- 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
- Additional Powdered Sugar and Flour
In a bowl, mix together the butter and powdered sugar until smooth. Add in the vanilla extract and salt and mix until combined. Add in the flour, if the mixture seems too sticky, add in ¼ to ½ cup more flour. Mix the batter until smooth.
Create small balls with the batter about 1 inch round. Place balls back in the bowl and place the dough balls in the refrigerator for at least an hour.
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Remove the balls from the fridge and place on a non-stick cookie sheet. Bake for 12 minutes. While the cookies are still warm, roll the baked balls in powdered sugar. Let the cookies cool and enjoy!
