Easy Homemade Ranch Dressing Recipe
If you love salads and veggies like I do, then you are going to love this quick and easy homemade ranch dressing recipe!
It is so easy to mix up and great to keep on hand for afternoon snacks and dinnertime salads. I even pack it in small containers in my children’s lunches so that they can dip their veggies. It has such a light and fresh taste to it, so much better than a store bought version … plus, I love knowing exactly how fresh it is and not relying on an expiration date to tell me.
I serve it right at the table in a cute mason jar, and I use a sharpie to write the date that I made it on so that I can always remember how long it has been in the fridge.
Easy Homemade Ranch Dressing Mix
2 tbs. Parsley
2 tbs. Garlic powder
2 tsp. Onion powder
1 tsp. Salt
1 tbs. Onion flakes
- 1 1/2 Cup Milk (2% or higher)
- 1 1/2 Cup Mayonnaise
- *see portion directions below
How to make homemade ranch dressing
If you want to make this as a mix, combine all the dry ingredients and store in an airtight container (masons jars are great for this purpose.)
How to Make the Dressing
For smaller portions, combine 1 tbs of the dried ranch mix with 1⁄2 cup of mayonnaise and 1⁄2 cup of milk. I suggested using 2% or higher milk. I used fat free and it tasted great but didn’t thicken as I would have liked.
If you would prefer to use the entire amount of dry seasoning combine all the mix along with 1 1⁄2 cups of mayonnaise and 1 1⁄2 cups of milk (I suggest 2% milk or higher)
Stir well and place in the fridge for 1-2 hours to thicken.
I mix all of my ingredients in a mason jar, shake well and then seal with a lid.
Shake well prior to serving. Enjoy!
