I actually got to meet John McLemore at a function at BlogHer Food and it was one of the highlights of my trip. Such a nice (and tall!) guy … and I just got the biggest kick out of meeting him because I have seen his face in my kitchen everyday for the past couple of years because his cookbook it literally on the shelf by my stove!My husband loves this book because it has a lot of tips and ideas for smoking and grilling food, which we do a lot of. He includes a lot of detailed info (temp settings, tips and charts) and I think this type of info really helps to perfect cooking skills more than the average plain old recipe book. Needless to say, we are huge fans!

My thoughts?  We have been playing with HEXBUGS for a couple of years now, however, these arenas have added a whole new dimension to them, and my son can’t get enough of them. I would love to meet the people that invent these types of toys because I will be honest and tell you that when I very first saw HEXBUGS I thought they were lame. When my son very first saw HEXBUGS he thought they were the “coolest things everrrrrrrrrrrrrr!” and now of course our entire family has a great time playing with them. My point being, how do they know what kids will just love?

And the battling … well, that just makes HEXBUGS that much more fun, because when you are a boy-kid… battles rock
