Easy Carrot Raisin Salad Side Dish

This easy Carrot Raisin Salad is so simple to make, we enjoy it all year long!

Just a few ingredients and you have a nice little cold salad that can pair easy with a fancy meal but it also perfect for a casual summer lunch or picnic.

Since we usually have the ingredients on hand, this one is quite often my go to for a quick side dish for meals.

Ingredients for Raisin & Carrot Salad

  • Matchstick Carrots (raw)
  • Raisins
  • Plain greek yogurt
  • Mayonnaise
  • Honey
  • Ground cinnamon

How to make Raisin Carrot Salad:

In a large bowl, combine yogurt, mayonnaise, honey and cinnamon. Mix well.

Carrot Raisin Salad
Pour over carrots and add raisins. Mix well. Refrigerate for 2 hours or overnight.

Before serving sprinkle with walnuts if desired. I also enjoy adding pepper to this salad, it gives it a nice little kick. 

As I mentioned, this easy salad is a great one for holiday meals. For one, it’s super simple and easy to make. Two, it’s very affordable so it’s a great option when you are serving larger groups of people. 

Since this recipe comes together so quickly, you can literally mix it up moments before you serve your meal. I also love that it adds such a wonderful pop of color to the table and gives you and additional salad option. 

*You can of course cut up your own carrots, but in the interest of time, I do often just grab the pack of precut carrots, which makes it so much easier.

Easy Carrot Raisin Salad Side Dish

One of my favorite side dishes, this Easy Carrot Raisin Salad recipe is a great go-to for family or holiday meals. So simple and easy to put together, this is an affordable side dish as well which makes it a popular dish for when you are serving large crowds.

Ingredients

  • 1 package (10 ozs) Matchstick Carrots (raw)
  • 1/3 cup raisins
  • 1 container (6oz) plain greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Ground walnuts for garnish (optional)

Instructions

    In a large bowl, combine yogurt, mayonnaise, honey and cinnamon.
    Mix well.
    Pour over carrots and add raisins.
    Mix well.
    Refrigerate for 2 hours or overnight.

Notes

I also enjoy adding pepper to this salad, it gives it a nice little kick. Enjoy!
