Applebees 2 for $20 and 2 for $25 Menu Items

I recently partnered with Applebee’s to share with you the new Applebee’s Menu items, specifically the Applebees 2 for $20 menu offerings: the Caprese Mozzarella Burger (what I ordered!), their Caprese Mozzarella Chicken and their Spinach & Artichoke Chicken Cavatappi. And the Applebees 2 for $25 menu offerings which includes the Firecracker Shrimp Cavatappi.

Applebees Menu: Applebee’s 2 for $20 and Applebees 2 for $25 Menu Items

*Disclosure: I did receive an Applebee’s gift card to facilitate my review. These opinions are my own and were in no way influenced by another person.

Applebee’s Menu 2 for $20 menu:

  • NEW Caprese Mozzarella Burger: Sautéed garlic and onions seared into an all-beef patty and topped with balsamic aioli, grilled tomatoes, grilled red onions, fresh mozzarella, and fresh basil. Served with classic fries.
  • NEW Caprese Mozzarella Chicken: Grilled chicken breast, fresh mozzarella, tomato, red onion, basil, and balsamic glaze. Served with garlic mashed potatoes.
  • NEW Spinach & Artichoke Chicken Cavatappi: Grilled chicken breast, cavatappi pasta, artichoke, grape tomatoes, Parmesan and crispy spinach leaves.

New to the Applebee’s 2 for $25 menu:

  • Firecracker Shrimp Cavatappi: Crispy sriracha shrimp, cavatappi pasta, sautéed zucchini, red bell pepper, red onion and Parmesan sriracha cream sauce.

Both the Applebees 2 for $20 and 2 for $25 menus still feature some old favorites.

Date nights at Applebee’s are the best! I ordered the new Caprese Mozzarella Burger and it was amazing. My hubby ordered off of the 2 for $25 menu (did you know that you can combine items from the $20 and $25 menu? You can!) for his main course.

He went with the Fiesta Lime Chicken (one of their full-size entrees that is included in this combo deal!) for his entree option – I was shocked because usually he’s a classic bacon cheeseburger guy but this menu pushed him out of his comfort zone – plus it’s a great value!

They combine the prices, and your total ends up being $23.50.) With both of these dishes, you can also select either one full-size appetizer (I highly recommend the artichoke dip!) or two salads, so we selected the salad to arrive before our entree.

Our thoughts about the Applebee’s Menu Items

We were very happy with our meal! I like that we can enjoy great food, and plenty of it, without breaking the bank. I can’t make some of my favorite recipes for this price, so dining out with the 2 for $20 menu options is a great win for this mom when I don’t feel like cooking!

For a limited time you can grab ALL of this goodness: side salads, mozzarella sticks, boneless wings and MORE!! Menu items may vary by location, so check in with your local Applebee’s to see menu offerings and favorites.

Other menu favorites include their Pico De Gallo, and their Bourbon Street Chicken. The Applebee’s Oriental Chicken Salad is probably my all time favorite Applebee’s menu item. It’s my go to when I’m at a loss for what to order. Also always a good bet is their Cedar Grilled Lemon Chicken or for kids, you can’t go wrong with the Chicken Tenders, Classic Cheeseburger and I highly recommend asking for the classic hot buffalo sauce (no matter what you order!) .. it’s amazing!

As I mentioned above, I’m also a fan of their appetizer options. Tortilla strips are a good go to with their black bean corn salsa. Their wonton tacos are also really good but  you can’t go wrong with any of their appetizer choices. I can’t tell you the exact appetizers to try, you’ll just have to try them all out for yourself and find YOUR favorite!

If you are a Chicken recipe fan, definitely make sure to check out this copycat Chicken recipe that I shared on the blog for Chicken Parmigiana recipe – it’s just like the dish that they serve on Carnival Cruise Line, and I haven’t found anything similar to it at Applebee’s yet!

Applebee’s Kids Menu

They also offer great prices on kids meals, so eating at Applebee’s is a nice choice for our family, especially with these new menu items and value menu. Kid’s meals at Applebee’s average around $4.99 and include: Cheeseburgers, Cheesy Bread Pizza, Grilled Cheese, Chicken Nuggets and a few other menu items. From time to time they will have 99¢ meal options for kids.

Applebees Happy Hour Menu

Happy hour specials at Applebee’s:
  • Miller Lite and Bud Light $3
  • Well Drinks $4
  • House Margaritas $4
  • Wines $4
  • Craft Beer $5
  • Top Shelf Long Island $5
Applebee’s offers half price appetizers and drinks during happy hour from 3 pm to 6 pm and 9 pm to close Monday through Friday in most locations.

If you enjoy happy hour, make sure to check out their classic drinks, local drafts and fancier offerings. (Dekuyper Watermelon Pucker or Bella Sera Moscato, anyone?) Their bar makes for a fun date night experience. Along with old favorite alcoholic beverages they always have new boozy beverages and your local Applebee bar might even have unique drink offerings.

A few favorites that we’ve tried in the past are the Tropical Piña Colada Twist, and the Captain Morgan Spiced Rum. They recently added a New Berry Merry Colada but that is just a holiday offering. Depending on your bartender, they might be able to whip one up for you in the off season. It never hurts to ask because usually they go out of their way for Applebee’s guests!

*also, don’t forget about Applebee’s Carside To Go Menu, Applebee’s gift card options and make sure to follow them on social media and in the new Applebee’s mobile app for lots of fun options, online menu updates, special menu promotions, coupon offerings and more! Placing online orders is easy and sometimes your favorite comfort food is just what you need!

Fancy Like Applebees on a Date Night

And most importantly, if you have that catchy new Applebee’s song in your head, you aren’t along! Wondering who sings the Applebees song? Fancy Like by Walker Hayes has been a hit with Applebee’s fans around the world! It’s one of my favorites!

  1. We ate at the Applebee in Wytheville, Virginia, yesterday 3/30/19 and it was terrible. I ordered a meal with onion rings for appetizer and a salad. The onion rings were good, but the salad was another thing. It all was wilted and I could not eat it. Why would they serve a salad that had been made a week ago? The entrée wasn’t much better. I will NEVER return to an Applebee restaurant.

  2. We used to like the two for $22 (later, $25). My son and I used to get tge Bpurbon St Steak with the red potatoes. Now, you can get chicken, ribs and pasta. (Maybe shrimp, but, with my wifedls allergiy, we avoid fish. So, we quit going to Applebee’s. For us, the choices for $25 kind of suck and we don’tcare to spend $60 for chicken, ribs or pasta.
