Whipping Cream for making frozen whipped cream hearts

How to make Frozen Whipped Cream Hearts

Add the Cool Whip and water to a large bowl and whisk until smooth.

Making Whipped Cream Hearts

Line a shallow metal or glass dish with parchment paper and spread the Cool Whip until it’s at least 1/2 inch thick.

The thicker these are, the easier they will be to cut and remove from the paper later on.

Try to smooth the top as best as you can. I found that using a flexible spatula was the best way to do this.

Sprinkle with toppings of your choice (if wanted)

Frozen Whipped Cream recipe and instructions

Place the dish in the freezer for at least six hours but preferably overnight.

About an hour before you’re ready to cut them out, line another small pan with parchment paper and put it in the freezer to get cold. This will be what you put the hearts on as you cut them out. Using a cold pan will ensure they don’t melt before you get them all cut out.

Remove the Cool Whip from the freezer and use a cookie cutter to cut out your hearts. As you cut each one out, place it on the second pan you lined with parchment paper.

When they’re all cut, place the pan back in the freezer for 15 minutes.

While the hearts are freezing back up, prepare your hot chocolate.

Whipped Cream Hearts

Remove the hearts from the freezer and gently place them on top of the hot chocolate and enjoy!

These will melt very quickly once they’re in the hot chocolate but are so cute while they last. Another idea is to float them on top of chocolate milk. Since its cold, they won’t melt as quickly 😉
