Homemade Berry Scones Recipe

If you love scones, but don’t love the prices in those fancy little coffee shops, then this recipe is for you!

These homemade berry scones have the look and taste of the ones that you will find in those coffee shops, but you can make them at home for a fraction of the price! We grow berries, so it’s a great way to incorporate our fresh berries into a morning treat, but you can also use frozen berries as well.

They are a wonderful breakfast treat, but my hubby also loves these homemade berry scones at night with a little ice cream!

No need to spend money at the coffee shop, make your OWN delicious homemade Berry Scones right at home at a fraction of the price!

They are easy to make and I usually double the recipe because they never last very long!

Ingredients:

2 cups All Purpose Flour

1/3 cup Sugar

1 Tablespoon Baking Powder

½ cup Butter

1 cup heavy Cream (plus extra for coating)

1 cup mixed berries (fresh or frozen)

In a large bowl, mix together the 2 cups of flour, 1/3 cup sugar, and baking powder. Cut the ½ cup of butter into pieces and crumble into the flour mixture. Add in the cream and stir until just mixed, the mixture will seem crumbly. Finally, add in the berries (if using frozen, do not thaw before using). Place the dough on the countertop and form into a round shape with your hands. Cut the scones into 4 to 8 pieces and place on a lightly greased baking sheet or pan.

Bake the scones for 15 minutes at 450 degrees. Enjoy!

Just like you purchased them in a fancy cafe, these homemade berry scones are delicious and easy to make!

  1. My mom and I are obsessed with scones right now. I’m not sure how it started but I will have to pass this recipe along to her or make them for her for Mother’s Day! Thanks for linking up with Delicious Dishes Recipe Party!
