I am so excited to share this Easy Homemade Parmesan Crisps Recipe with you because not only are they easy to make, but they are also delicious!

My kids love these as a snack, and I also like to serve them with salads and as appetizers.

Made with just ONE ingredient (yes, just one!) these are a quick and easy snack to make and they are always a hit.

What you need to make Parmesan Crisps

8 ounces good quality Parmesan cheese

Parmesan Crisps shredded

That’s right!! Just one ingredient to make this delicious parmesan cracker snack. We call them parmesan crisps, but they really are like a little yummy cracker.

How to make Parmesan Crisps Crackers at Home

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.

If your parmesan isn’t already grated (I like to buy the grated kind) then grate it into a bowl. Line a large baking sheet with a non-stick pad or Parchment paper. This step definitely isn’t necessary, but will make the process easier and less of a mess.

If you are putting them directly on your baking sheet, you’ll want to use cooking spray.

Space heaps of cheese (about a tablespoon – depending on the size you want your finished parmesan crisp to be) around the pan. I usually do them in sets of 6 heaps.

Lightly press the mounds out until they are flat. Push together any stray pieces that might be sticking out to make sure they bake together.

Bake for 5-6 minutes or until the edges are golden brown but not all the way to the center.

They should look a bit wet, and that’s just how you want them. You don’t want parmesan to get bitter, which will happen if it cooks too long, so watch carefully to not over cook your parmesan crackers.

Remove from oven. They will begin to firm up almost immediately.

Remove with a spatula and place on paper towels. Place another paper towel on top and gently press down to absorb the grease.

Making Parmesan Crisps and letting them cool

Sometimes I like to roll them. If you want to try this, be sure to do it before they harden, which happens quickly. I like to use a large wooden spoon handle to roll them up.

Once they are completely cooled and crisp, you can store them in an airtight container between layers of wax paper for up to three days. Store in the refrigerator.
